KRDP Indie (Digital/Online) We at KRDP as well as the Valley community were saddened to learn that Phoenix area singer/songwriter Andy Warpigs passed away on May 30, 2021. For those who are unfamiliar with Andy, they were a folk/punk musician who greatly influenced the local DIY music scene. A regular at the annual Indie 500 hosted by Trunk Space, Andy released an album in 2014 called Folk Punk Yourself.
In August 2017, they stopped by the Radio Phoenix (now KRDP) studios to appear on our local music series “Rise”, and it was, um, a very interesting…and entertaining episode. Rest in peace friend.
